Community Development Center (CDC) is a local Civil Society Organization, working for the purpose of converging all knowledge values, resources for the prosperous development of the community. The organization was established on October 10, 2010 under the Decision No. 6001081517 Department of Planning and Investment of Dak Lak province, Vietnam.
The project Circular Economy Cocoa: From Bean to Bar is led by Helvetas Intercooperation gGmbH (hereinafter Helvetas Germany), a non-governmental organisation committed to improve the living conditions of disadvantaged people in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Helvetas Germany’s subsidiary Helvetas Vietnam, has worked in the country since 1995. Together we bring local knowledge and expertise in private sector development, environment and climate change and governance to our work for EU, Swiss, Australian and US donors.
In recent years, CDC has implemented activities in many provinces in Vietnam, contributing to sustainable development and social inclusion through capacity building, policy advocacy, promotion initiatives and opportunities for vulnerable groups so that they can actively gain livelihoods sustainably.
CDC has experience and expertise in training on capacity building, scientific and technical transfer for farmers and stakeholders at grass-root level.
